01 — The challenge
People search for e-waste pickup by neighbourhood: Poway, San Marcos, Oceanside, La Jolla. The service covered all of them, but outside a few core terms it barely showed up, ranking in the 20s, 50s and 60s for the searches that bring in pickups.
02 — What I did
- 01Researched competitors' backlinks and built profiles, web 2.0s, articles and guest posts pointing at the site.
- 02Built local and global citations and kept the Google Business Profile active with regular posts.
- 03Tracked rankings location by location, so every community had its own baseline and progress report.
